Friends

Whom do you call a friend?
Why do you call that person a friend?
What attributes do you see in that person that made you call them a friend?
Do they have your interest at heart?
Will their decisions benefit you?
Can you rely on them?
Does society expect you to call and have them as friends?

I have friends and I have friends. I have that calibre of friends who love me for me. They love me despite my faults. They love me even if you don’t love me. I have friends who admonish me when I go wrong. They quickly without fear (of the Major) put me right. Others just would smile at me through clenched teeth. I have friends I would do my all to put a smile on their face. I would do it without asking for money. I respect these friends to the maximum.

Some friends evolve into relations( like brothers or sisters but nevercousins). They go above and beyond any reason or comprehension known to man. These are the marvelous friends. Their names are always on your lips.

There are friends who bring tears to the eyes. It is said that when the fool becomes wise,  the game tends to be over  (s3 okwasia ni ti a, na agoro no 3gu)
I can go on and on but then the question is are you a friend for a reason or a season? Did you become a friend for life or you became a friend for riches; the better life? These are my questions to You.
