Greetings my dear readers.
I miss you. I miss you so much. I know we have been talking over each other without actually listening to each others wonderful view points. It is sad.
I believe we have so much to offer. To each other. Through motivation, networking, encouragement and above all live.
We must strive to dwell in positivity and speak with positivity.
I met these wonderful gentlemen a few weeks ago. They all had come from not less than an hour’s drive to meet in the home of one of theirs. I found myself amongst them by accident.
The neighborhood was one that made me proud. A black man and a Ghanaian lived in this house. The cars out front were a testimony to his hard work. I had never met him before yet he received me with open arms. He was at that time then ever quintessential Ghanaian host. His mom’s laughter reminded me of mine who now resides in heaven.
Then the guests begun to arrive. I felt out of place.
The gentleman who had invited me announced me. They also looked at me in awe. They had a an authentic writer in their midst. They plied me with questions which made me feel like a celebrity. Thank you for allowing me to dine at your table.
Now here is the basis of this article. Listening to their childhood stories as they reminisced was exhilarating. Those not present were called on Facetime. Those who needed to be comforted were commiserated with. Those who needed celebration were celebrated.
These old young men have been motivating each other from since when they come together. These men at a point on time constituted their school’s basketball team. They pushed themselves supporting each other in diverse and chosen fields; occasionally coming together to wine and dine.
The motivation still run deep. Getting dream jobs and rising to steer affairs. Living a life they had talked about since boyhood and not taking any shortcuts. Driving dream machines. Living the life.
In short these gentlemen had made sure to fix themselves so that in future they could fix their land of birth.
