It was such heartbreak

Absolutely could not make

Any sense of our breakup, I

Was so heartbroken, could not in my life makeup, I

Struggled and watched you

As you paraded the corridors spreading your love.

I was devastated beyond comprehension,

Humility in gentility, understanding beyond the ordinary,

Kissing smoothly while caressing with a careless abandon

That drives the senses to heightened calm pitch

You took the first step of reconciliation,

You gave another chance when all stood against

You held me to your bosom and allowed me to breath in your sweet fragrance

I remember your first kiss; smooth, gentle, unwavering

You held me tight and I was in love

My dad was against our love, he preferred the other.

Mom loved you, no wonder you reached out when she lived to eternity

Glad we are together again.

Where is home?

The sun is shining
Bright is the day
It is cloudy and rains heavily.
Yet the heart is filled
With joy of glorious pain

When will the rains stop?
The weatherman can never forecast
These are rains from the soul
Tears cascading like a never-ending waterfall
The smile, that smile, the infectious smile.
You just put laughter on my face
Yet you made me squirm
There will be no more talk
Every book has a prologue.
Some are dedicated.
Some books end with a beginning to an introduction.
Your book is beautifully written.
Headlining your Fatherhood skills.
Your book is a legacy to read.
I will cherish.

Everything that ends has a beginning. It does not matter how it ends. It surely has a start date. EMWL Financial Services did not happen overnight. It took ideas and capital. It took risks. It took sleepless nights. DiDiMaMe likewise started with so many trips to the homeland. Countless flights. Trustworthy partners. Today they are launched and delivering food to whatever location. They had a start date. DatabaseConsultGh is another company that is still in the works. From birth they are on. Soon they will start crawling.

Majority of the schools in Ghana are celebrating anniversaries. Bishop Herman College in Kpandu in the Volta Region is one such school. My almer mater.  The school has birthed notable personalities including “On the road” Amigosten Amish, countless judges and lawyers, visionary entrepreneurs, musicians, filmmakers, financial gurus, my biological father and some uncles, numerous cousins and yours truly #SILENTNOISES.

We all started from somewhere.

I urge you to reflect deeply and sincerely. I urge you not to be judgemental for we know not fate. I urge you to look within yourself and not at others.  Do not attempt putting up walls around you. Acknowledge what we are about to talk about.

At the start, I  made mention that no one knows the beginning. Tell me. Email me. Tweet. Facebook me. Any medium of communication. I just want to know if you knew you were going to be born. I would be surprised if any knew.  You were born and grew knowing this is what you responded to as a name. You were born and told that man and woman were your parents. Unless you are the first born, you just trust and believe that all others are your siblings.

So there, my brother, my sister be humble; be kind; be loving for this life is not for us.

Be who you are. Continue your deeds of nobility. Let your passion drive you only in that direction that brings joy and peace and motivation to those who desire it.  Continue to shine and never let anyone dim your shine for those around you know your worth.

Silence is priceless. Silence sends multiple signals when it is present. Silence is deafening. Silence can drive you crazy.  More so when whatever is being perpetuated against you is seen by onlookers as nothing but a vain attack on the good self. It is only when you respond to vile attacks will you engage in a battle of words or whatever but when you keep silent…..

Can you imagine being Silently Noisy? That is doing things in your own way without drawing stage like attention to thine self?

These days it is a taboo to say “One corner” but a humongous blessing to shout “Tithe”.  It is a no- no to wear anklets because our brains are in our ankles. Likewise is it okay to take a bath once a day (I await clarification on this though).. I hear some Capos are causing the Old Boy sleepless nights (who is the who? I mean who is the boss?) Private Universities will get some tax cuts and State Universities will still be what they are.  Bastir “The Beast” was a beast the Bukom boxer and guess what? He did not make any noise during the pre-match shenanigans.  Ghanapost GPS will pay Google some huge amount of money (so they say) but ….

I say at times or most of the time it is okay to just look at issues with that look from your mama or dad when you were young. It was the look of “wait till we get home” . It made you  wish never to go back home. The best way to cut a big big tree is never from the top. It is always from the bottom. The top only offers a good view and a stage. Everyone will get to watch you while you are at the top. The bottom is devoid of all attention.

Be silently noisy and do what you do best.

Learning. It is an ongoing process. Any place could be a learning experience. It could be an informal or formal learning process. Learning is an experience and can also be from experience. Learning is profound.In the lecture room, (where might that be?), someone talks and you sit and listen. Whether you are comfortable or not is not of great essence. You can also ask questions when you are permitted to do so.
Learning could be at home. A lecture from your parents or guardians is a learning experience. Very informal.
Learning could be in recognised institutions. Full faculty. Very formal.
The ambience of a learning environment is equally important. Some areas encourage learning and help you to assimilate whilst others put you off totally, so much that you hardly process anything. But then the vicinity is also a learning experience.
We learn on social media; we learn even when we have conversations. We learn about a whole lot. Every day and night is a learning experience.
Share what you have. Let it be a learning experience for someone.
Teach someone.
Learn from some one.
Make use of your learning.

Invasion of privacy.
The world has indeed become a village. Very small. Every corner is easily accessible. We are now able to see and hear everybody everywhere. We easily know of happenings even at times in what is termed “RealTime”. (Which time is fake?)
Thanks to technology and its advancement, the world is now digitized. In my youthful days to see a video recorder in its entirety was something spectacular. A friend had one. I respected him. (O yes I am the village boy in Accra). That was me. Did we think of recording everything? It was the power of a retentive memory and the ability to recount word for word that showed your profiency. People could narrate movies right from the start till “The End”. People were prolific. Now…

It is easy to record everything and anything these days. The activities of people are recorded without their knowledge. Some even go to the extent of recording phone conversations without some of the participants in the call knowing. Some record supposed private conversations for what I do not know. All with a cell phone.
I remember the early days of the cellbphone in Ghana. Mobitel. It was huge and thick. To be precise it was monstrous. It was bulky to carry. It had no camera. It had no recording apps. The cellphone has evolved. Different brands; different makes. Different phones for different classes of people. Phones held together by rubber bands or in a gold plated diamond encrusted case. People would spend money on phones and go hungry. All because of the features of the phone. The camera pixels and its dual cameras. The ability to record both ways (not only voice but images too). Even the ability to edit what you have recorded. The ability to browse the internet in the palm of your hand. The ability to hold conference calls on the go; to type readily as it comes to mind (I am doing that now). A palm held computer. The cell phone has come of age. With it ….
To this end, today by the grace of technology we have what is termed Social Media. Media that allows us to socialize, fraternize, disorganize, abuse, hurl long distance insults, become judge and jury and executioner, inform and misinform, promote and downgrade. It is crazy. Various platforms that allow us to interact freely without inhibition of distance or expense. Social Media is good and some are simply not using it well.

To the “Now”. When you are invited to an event, you are invited as a guest. Unless you are told or invited or contracted as the photographer or video recorder, I do not see your business in recording and or taking photographs and posting them online. I believe if the host/hostess sought the services of a photographer or video recorder they would have contracted your services. If they have notcontracted you or invited you to take pictures or record their event, you have no business doing so and posting pictures and video recordings of their event. It is simply frustrating and mind boggling. Get it. It is an INVASION OF PRIVACY! Take your personal pictures and post them but do not invade their privacy. Many might say in defence ” we should have been notified” or ” why did they not say no cameras allowed?”
My answer: “Common Sense”

Let their allegations and claims linger by offering no response. Many will they send to unleash your tongue but tarry I say, tarry.
The Good Book says “Peace, be still.” Heed the Book. Keep doing what you do! Polish on your mistakes. Never give up on your discipline and principles for 30 pieces of silver. Remember, man shall not live by bread alone (you can do kose and others). Live by righteousness. Be righteous. As you sit watching them prepare a pit for you, The Supreme One will cause you to turn around and see them (not slip) fall inside the pit they dug for you.
