Nobody can take from you what you are. Nobody can be you. The best is an imitation but never You. Be You. Do You. Unless you want to give it all up.
Some give it up. Yes they do. They throw everything into the trash. No more sense and sensibilities. They behave like Judas. Is Judas still alive today? Are his descendants still enjoying the 30 pieces of silver?
My first example is that dishonorable brother of a priesthood in a world renowned faith. How on earth do you get associated with such scandal? A married woman? Fleeing justice? Attempting to pin fake charges on husband and wife? Sex for promotion?
If the real you wants a woman to sleep with simply de-robe. If the real you wants to enjoy the carnality of the flesh, de-robe. You are a good administrator but a bad example of a church leader.
For those judges who have been dismissed do not even try to blame the devil. It is you. Your quest to enjoy life at all costs led to you disgracing your name and that of your family. The you in you could not stop taking bribes. Why?
I know of this young man with a people magnet. Very lively youngman but very insolent towards his elders. His choice of words is simply unprintable but then he expects respect from others. He is quick to apologise to some of his elders after whitewashing them with insults only to do it again. He is Ghanaian. Wife is same. Parents back him. How then do you expect such a person to be in a leadership position one day? That is his trait. It is in the genes.
You are you. You know your weakness and your strength. Do not turn your weakness into your strength when you know very well it is on the downside.
So then this is an election year in Ghana. The country is in shambles. We are rebranding buses in colored pictures. We are shutting down chocolate factories because our pictures are on the wrappers and people are not buying. We are ignoring our healthcare. Education is a no go area. Universities and colleges are springing up like mushrooms only these are poisonous. You look at the people and you lie to them.
I am begging the electorate. Be you. Use your conscience. Do not be coerced by food or drink or money. Look at the individual. Can you hold him or her accountable?
